Biography
Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Science - University of Michigan-Dearborn
Dr. Xiao Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, the Principal Investigator of the Trustworthy AIoT Lab (TAI Lab), and the advisor of the student club ICC (Immersive Computing Club). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University. His research focuses on optical wireless communication, mmWave networking, AI-assisted sensing and localization, mobile computing, cyber-physical systems, and the Internet of Things. His work aims to build efficient, secure, and intelligent next-generation wireless systems for applications such as LiFi, V2X, digital health, smart cities, and AR/VR. Dr. Zhang has published in top venues including MobiCom, MobiSys, Ubicomp, ICNP, ICRA, TMC, and CSUR. He serves on technical program committees for leading IEEE and ACM conferences and regularly reviews for premier journals and transactions.
