Biography

Professor and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering – University of Michigan-Dearborn

Dr. Richardson has been involved in the research and development of mobile networks for the last 20 years, primarily with the Department of Defense. He has supported research, development, and field testing of large mobile command and control networks that have included over 700 vehicles. He also supported research and development of mobile networking for a number of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle projects with the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy, including truck convoys, construction equipment, and small unmanned cargo vehicles. He remains active in the area of mobile networks supporting various vehicular projects that require mobile networks.
