We are excited to share with you the confirmed dates for the 2024 CCAT Global Symposium — May 21st and 22nd. The seventh annual conference will be hosted at the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI. Both in-person and virtual registration options are available for this two-day, two-track conference. Explore confirmed speakers, registration rates, hotel blocks, and more below. Event Location


The seventh annual conference is returning to the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College. The venue is right across from the St. Joseph Hospital and provides several benefits to our attendees and the event program. This includes free parking, tours of the Advanced Transportation Center (ATC), and the addition of research demonstrations.

Dr. Sikai (Sky) Chen and the project team are developing a multi-agent human-in-the-loop, digital-twin-enabled traffic simulation platform to investigate the interactions between vulnerable road users (VRUs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). Leveraging virtual reality (VR), wearable devices, advanced algorithms, and real-time data integration, the project team aims to tackle safety challenges and improve the perception and decision-making mechanisms for both AVs and VRUs.

The seventh annual Student Poster Competition, co-sponsored by the Intelligent Transportation Society of Michigan, invites undergraduate and graduate students from all U.S.-based institutions to participate. Submissions will be accepted starting Tuesday, January 16th, and close on Friday, May 3rd.
