Research Associate – University of Wisconsin-Madison
Chengyuan Ma is a Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems from Tongji University in 2023. His primary research interests include connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), automated vehicle evaluation, and cooperative perception. Dr. Ma has authored over 30 publications in the areas of transportation big data analytics and CAV technologies and has participated in several CAV-related projects funded by agencies such as FHWA, DOE, NSF, and WisDOT. He was recognized as an Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate and received the National Scholarship at Tongji University. Dr. Ma serves as a reviewer for leading journals, including Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Research Part E, Transportmetrica B, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, Computers & Electrical Engineering, and Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain. Additionally, he is a guest editor for the special issue "Advanced Control Technologies for Next-Generation Autonomous Vehicles" in Electronics.
