Biography
Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering – Purdue University

Director – Next-generation Human-systems and Cognitive Engineering (NHanCE) Research Lab
Dr. Pitts earned his Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering in 2016 at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. His research interests are in the areas of human factors and cognitive engineering, human-automation interaction, context-sensitive interface design, and gerontechnology. Particularly, his research focuses on the development and evaluation of human-machine systems to support operators in next-generation safety-critical, complex environments such as driving, aerospace, and medicine.
