Abdullah Nafakh Receives Purdue Professional Development Scholarship

Abdullah J. Nafakh, a CCAT Ph.D. student, was part of a 3-person team that received a Professional Development Scholarship from Purdue University. The team taught a high school summer course titled, ‘Resiliency and Sustainability in Civil Engineering’. Part of the course addressed the benefits anticipated from connected and automated vehicles and the potential costs of their deployment. The award was given to assist the team in travel to the American Society of Engineering Education Annual Conference and Exposition to report on their experience.
