Biography

Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering – The University of Michigan

Sina Bahrami is currently an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2019, and was previously an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Dr. Bahrami's research focuses on the development of optimal strategic decision-making tools and policies that facilitate emerging mobility systems in smart cities, particularly with emphasis on electric and automated vehicles. His work has been published in prominent journals, such as Transportation Research Parts A, B, C, and E. In addition, his research contributions have been highlighted in various media outlets, including Forbes, Popular Science, Design Quarterly, Global News, Gizmag, Science Daily, and Tech Xplore.
