Jeffery Roesler
Biography
Ernest J. Barenberg Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering – The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Dr. Jeffery Roesler has been conducting research on a variety of transportation infrastructure topics for the past 25 years. His recent research interest involves passive material sensing for vehicle lateral positioning and construction work zone V2I communication, micro-scale urban heat island and cool surfaces, roller compacted concrete pavements, 3D concrete printing for 1-story structures, and non-contact ultrasonic sensing system for construction monitoring. He has authored/ co-authored more than 275 publications. He is a registered professional engineer in the California and active participant in TRB, ACI, and is Past President of the International Society of Concrete Pavements. Dr. Roesler teaches courses in transportation infrastructure, specifically pavement analysis and design, concrete materials, introduction to transportation engineering, geometric design of roads as well as a senior professional practice class and a first year project-based introduction to CEE course.
