The Roads Australia Delegation and MEDC visited UMTRI on July 26 to learn about groundbreaking mobility research that is being conducted at UMTRI. CCAT Managing Director Debby Bezzina discussed The Ann Arbor Connected Vehicle Test Environment, detailing the over 2,500 vehicles equipped with connected technologies. This project was partially funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and put Ann Arbor on the map as the preeminent testbed for connected vehicles and infrastructure. Dr. Yiheng Feng described the CCAT funded project “Augmented Reality Testing Environment Development” and took the group to see its capabilities in the Michigan Traffic Lab located at UMTRI.
