CCAT Researcher Recipient of the 2019 Milton Pikarsky Memorial Award


CCAT former student and current researcher, Dr. Sikai Chen, has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Milton Pikarsky Memorial award. This prize is given to the best Ph.D. dissertation in the transportation science and technology category. His dissertation is titled: “Safety Implications of Roadway Design and Management: New Evidence and Insights in The Traditional and Emerging (Autonomous Vehicle) Operating Environments” and was selected from approximately 50 candidates nominated by their professors across the United States. This award is given annually by the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), and the cash prize is sponsored by the American Roads and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). Sky will receive his award at the 2020 CUTC Awards Banquet at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
