Project Abstract:
The proposed project will merge a recently developed V2I passive pavement sensing system for secondary lane departure warning with an existing CAV platform to maintain vehicle position in the lane in all road and weather conditions and provide localized motion planning to maximize passenger comfort. Mobility, comfort, and safety of passengers will be significantly improved and a reduction in fuel consumption of vehicles is expected.
