Project Abstract:
The objective of the proposed project is to examine how the various maturity levels of connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) implementation will influence the design and management of highway infrastructure. The research is assessing and making recommendations to mitigate any risks posed to CAV use due to any incompatibilities with existing infrastructure. The research approach is such that it is addressing the various dimensions associated with these anticipated or recommended evolutions in the physical infrastructure.
